What is the difference between Checking Account and Multi-Currency Account?

Checking accounts at Truly Financial are bank accounts that can send and receive payments in the local currency where they are located. This includes:

  • U.S. Checking accounts that can send/receive in USD via ACH and Fedwire
  • Canadian Checking accounts that can send/receive in CAD through local EFT (available to Canadian corporations only)
  • EUR Checking accounts that can send/receive in EUR on the SEPA network
  • GBP Checking accounts that can send/receive GBP via BACS

Multi-currency accounts can hold up to 32 currencies and can send/receive those currencies through SWIFT wire transfer. All Truly Financial customers are eligible for multi-currency accounts. All you have to do is send a request to our customer support team to activate the currency you need.
